GWS1749CS0 Gibson Washer - Timer does not advance in any cycle.

Customer Complaint: The washer fills up with water and agitates, but the timer does not advance. They can manually advance the timer to get the water to drain out, but the timer does not seem to advance on any cycle.

I removed the back from the control panel and checked for voltage to the timer motor on different cycles. I did have voltage to the timer motor so I ordered and replaced timer part # 134173200.

After replacing the timer the washer advance through the cycles like it should.

This timer looks to be the newer style that is all plastic, and the motor is hiden inside.   This timer is not a costly item, so most HO will pay to fix it.   I can remember back a few years when the advancement motor was exposed,  and you could replace it with another one,  but now they sell it complete.   I see you have been a tech for 20 years.  I am closing in on 30 years pretty soon.   Do you just repair the Whirlpool brand?  Brent@CanBC

No, I work on other brands too. I have the most experience with Whirlpool and enjoy working on them over any other brand.
