Maytag Drier - Wont Start/replaced dryer belt

Ok... reached in turned the blower wheel... spins, glides easily, doesnt get stuck

Let me get this straight now: The motor should also turn with the blower. The blower must be firmly clamped to the motor shaft and the motor turns with the blower. The blower does not free float on the motor shaft. Is that you?

The shaft on the motor is 'D' shaped so there is a flat side on the shaft. The plastic blower wheel center hole is also 'D' shaped.

What happens when the blower wheel goes bad is the 'D' shape of the center hole gets round out.

Well.. got the thermo cut off fuse today.  Replaced it and still wont turn on!! I dont know what the problem is! Any suggestions??

Think i understand about the blower wheel... thought It was suppose to spin freely.  Will check it again. Guess if it spins freely then its worn out.  Hmmm...

Checked the blower.  It turns and the tumbler and motor turn along with it.  I dont know!

If the fuses are all good and the door switch is good then you either have a bad motor or a bad timer. If this timer is one that you push the timer knob to start it then take the cover plate off the timer and file smooth the points on the leaf switch. Then put it all back together and retry.
