Samsung Ice maker is over filling making a solid slab of ice... anyway to adjust the fill time?

Was looking online at your model # and found that this unit only has the manual filling ice cube tray model.  Doesn't list for an automatic ice maker.  I'm suspecting that this has an optional ice maker kit installed. 

The ice maker problem sounds like the water valve is leaking and will need to be replaced.  You would have to pull the water valve out from the back of the unit and see if there is a part number on the valve.

Another possibility is that the fill tube has become frozen and instead of water going into the ice maker, it's just spilling into the ice container causing the block of ice problem.

also if ice maker has a flex tray, ice may be sticking, may need new ice cube flex tray.

Over time the flex tray gets stiff. Won't release the ice. The ice clings and more water gets poured onto the slab.
