i have an old 1986 whirlpool centrat ac ,heat pump.i have found one problem is the reverse coil is measuring open.so its bad and needs replacing if i can find one with a 208 vlt and 10 watt with a 3/8 hole.but that not really my dilima ,the problem is that it is in heat pump mode.so my question is because is is an old unit can the reverse valve be normally in the heat pump mode and the coil holds it in the ac mode,because when the thermostat is set to cool it send a 220 volt to the coli.. thanks mick
