Samsung dryer shuts off after four minutes o

Samsung dryer was taken apart to replace the belt, homeowner couldn't get it back together call for service... after putting the belt back on.. and putting it back together How it will run for 4 minutes then shuts off it will start right back up ... what did the tech miss?

Goop on the sensor bars. Sensor bars wire not reconnected. Dryer can't sense wetness.

the was not plugged back in ... no error codes  but would only run for 4 minutes

OK if them bars was not plugged in then it would seem to the control like the clothes was dry because no moisture is being detected.. So the machine figures based on that them clothes is dry and goes to shutdown mode.

Try running the dryer in time mode.  This will take it out of sensor mode.  If the dryer stays on, reconnect the sensor bars and you're good to go.

That's a great idea.

If I remember correctly the old (not Whirlpool made) Maytag dryers had a wire that would go to the sensor that was located in the front of the dryer.

You would have to unplug this wire when removing the front of the dryer to work on it. If you forgot to plug the wire back in the dryer would run for only a short time too before turning off.

Anyway I think krazytech already found the problem and has it fixed, right?
