Frigidaire Dryer Model FEQ1442CES0 Error Code 9E

My dryer beeps frequently while in use, and either does not heat at all, or heats for a very short time. 

I looked up manuals to find the procedure to get the error codes, however, the code I am given after following the steps is not listed. 

The instructions were:
Turn the cycle selector knob to the 3 o'clock position
Hold the select and pause/cancel buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds
Hold the start and pause/cancel buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds
Turn the cycle selector knob to the 2 o'clock position and count the beeps of both the 4 indicator lights and the start button.

The 4 indicator lights flashed 9 times
The start light flashed 14 times

A note below the instructions indicates that once the flashing hits 10 times, a letter is represented rather than a number a=10, b=11, c=12, d=13, e=14

Did I read the code right? If so, what does error code 9E mean, and how can my dryer be fixed? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
