no ice

Going on my1st LG icemaker, no ice. Looking at a manual it says to press water supply control key for 3 seconds to test but it doesnt say where key is. Can these IMs be repaired or rebuilt.  Any helpful info would be appreciated.

The fill key must be the cube size selection button maybe someone will clear this up for us.
If it is like any of the other electronic IMs then nothing is serviceable on one.

You were right JW. the cube size button was the test button, just hold it in for 3 sec. the IM went thru cycle no water.
replaced inlet with the whirpool valve 4310847


they looked identical.    don't tell LG I did that. cust happy but sorry they didn't know they were buying LG product. they hadn't heard very many good things about LG.

Are you sure the part number is: 4310847

It does not seem to be a good part number when I tried to look it up.

Them valves probably came from the same source. Glad you could clear that up about the fill button being the cube size button. This is what it is all about!


He means 4318047
