LG Tromm Gas Dryer won't Heat
« on: June 30, 2011, 01:55:51 PM »
I also have this model and the part that is needed is a flame sensor. You can go online and order the part. I got one from Sears for about $50 including shipping. My problem is I don't know where it is in the dryer so that I can replace the part and I don't want to tear the whole thing apart looking for it.
Is there anyone out there that knows how to install this part??

You should have started a new topic to ask your question, not reply to a topic that was years old.

I have split your reply here into it's own topic for you.

How are you able to diagnose the problem to be a bad flame sensor, order the part and now not know were the part is located on dryer or how to get to it?

You can download the service manual for your dryer here.

temp limit switch reset info got my ladyfriend's gas dryer going again (tromm dlg5988s).  button (mostly felt not seen)-between two wires of quick disconnect front side lower right. it was on the flame chamber shroud left side and all that. highly recommend accessing the blower (left front bottom - two screws after the entire front is already off)and vacuuming out the lint in the fins of the hamster wheel that prevented propper air flow in first place. thanks to all for pics and info.
