Kenmore 70 Series Washer is not Spinning

Hi, my Kenmore 70 series washer (110.22702100) is not spinning; however, it is draining. When it is on the spin cycle if I open the lid, hold down the lid switch, and give the basket a little spin myself it starts spinning on its own. It does not appear to spin as fast as it should, though. I have tried this with a light load.

That sounds to me like yall need to install a new clutch however when you remove the case and you see this: Click on first photo; If oil is on the inside of the case then a simple seal replacement will be all that is needed. Jumpy recommends you clean the clutch with brake cleaner after repairing that seal. To replace the seal remove the cover and pop out the old one. Put a little oil on the seal and tap it back into the tranny cover with a hammer using a wood block to keep from harming the seal.
