refrigerator not cold enough

Okay,  I probably know the answer before I post this.  I have a GE over/under that isn't cooling enough.  In fact, milk tends to spoil about 5 days before the expiration date because of the warmth.  The freezer is freezing, but its a "wet" freeze.  In other words the ice is wet....  I was wondering where the coils are and if they could be frozen.  It seemed to happen over a period of a week.....  It was all at once, not gradual.  Or if anyone has any ideas as to what I should check....  I know.....the ghost probably has left......

Look on the back wall of the freezer section. If there is frost on it and it covers the whole back panel, there is a problem with the defrost system.

Its a very light frost.....  Not much frost at all....center toward the bottom of the freezer is frosty....but not much....

What you're not seeing is the evaporator behind the wall. It's probably a solid block of ice and built up enough to show frost on the wall. The fan can no longer circulate the air across the coils then into the refrigerator. That frost pattern will sometimes form when the evaporator fan motor quits working also. Remove the back wall and see what you find.
