Maytag washer Intermittant spin + noise while spinning

washer recently started randomly not spinning, if i let it cycle and watch it, it'll sometimes just TRY spinning, pump emties out the water, but it wont spin unless i give it a little helping hand. though this is only sometimes. also, while spinning now its making a grinding noise, kind of like a peice of metal is rubbing somewhere, it always makes this noise when the basket is in the same position. i marked the basket with a crayon and it always makes the noise when the mark is in the same spot.

cant figure out how to edit, but anyway, the sound only happens during the spin cycle as far as i can hear.

I think that you have something between the tubs..

take a bright flashlight and put it in the tub... then put head inside look for something between the tubs... two places it may be are in the drain pump area(bottom right of center).. or the air intake (Top left)

If it in the back you will have to separate the tubs to get to it..
