Maytag Gas Dryer help

Dryer is not heating properly when clothes are in it....seems to be functioning when empty.
Automatic Drying cycle timer doesn't appear to be working however the timed cycle timer is working. I check the continuity on the fuse in the exhaust and it is OK.
Any help would be appreciated.

I looked at your wiring diagram. Their is nothing fancy about it wiring wise. No electron moisture sensing. So if it works some but not well I would suggest you swap out the coils. They get iffy with age. Click on pic to enlarge.

OK but any idea why it works w/out clothes in it? Seems odd to me, I was going to replace the thermostats in the exhaust as a shot in the dark.

You need to take it down and check the blower wheel.If it is slipping (common problem on maytag) then the dryer will heat some but the thermostat will make it shut down quickly and take 3 times as long to dry the clothe. Might just need a good cleaning out.
