GE washer continues to overflow

Help...my washer is overflowing. M/N above. It has only occurred in warm cycle.  But I suspect there is either a water level problem or an inlet water solenoid type problem. Possibly even a timer issue. All I know is my floor is wet and I finally actually caught the washer "being bad". I went to check on a load and according to the timer it was on the tail end of the cycle and the timer was in the spin zone part of the dial. I opened the lid and the tub was filling(should have been spinning). I pushed the timer knob to stop the filling and it just kept filling. I turned the knob to the off position and the water kept flowing. I turned off the inlet water and it finally stopped. I then unplugged the washer. Let it sit for a minute. Plugged it back in and turned the dial to the spin and it finally spun and drained. Please help if you can. Thank You

Inlet valve is bad.

Is that hard or real expensive to replace? Thank You Much

I looked it up for you and here is your Water Valve.

Its the part that the hot and cold fill hoses connect to on the back of the washer.
