Kenmore Series 80 Heats Up But Motor Doesn't Spin

Ok here is the deal...

The heater comes on but the motor does not. I have taken the dryer apart and the motor is not getting power to it for some reason. I have tried to bypass the thermal fuse and still nothing. The motor spins free hand just fine but it is not getting power. I replaced the heating element about 6 months ago and that seems to be working fine. Is this a fuse or something that I am unaware of? How can I further determine where the failure is and fix it?

It should NOT heat unless motor is running.

Unless your the cust I just did last week heres the deal. the thermal fuse will keep the motor from running & is probably bad. but u need to find out why that heater came on. it should not with motor not running. the one i was on had a bad thermal and a piece of wire sort of like a paper clip straightened out had got through holes in back  of drum & landed on top of heater shorting it out allowing heater to come on by itself. removed wire rep thermal alls fine. had never seen this n 40 years. advised cust not to wash & dry paper clips.
