Kenmore Side by Side Compressor Hot

I have a KM side by side fridge and the compressor is very noisy.  It is very warm and is making a ticking sound when running.  the temp in the freezer is good but the fridge side is around 50.  The unit was in the house when I bought it, I think it is about 9-10 years old.  

I have cleaned extensively the coils and that seemed to help.  Should I have a service guy come out or just replace the unit?

Check for frost buildup on the back panel of the freezer. Check if the fan in the freezer and the fan by the compressor are running and report back. A serial number would help determine the age.

I know the comp fan is running. I will check for ice probably tomorrow

Ended up being a relay. $180 parts and labor.

Is your fridge in the garage or area where there is no heating or cooling? I have an old fridge in the garage that was working well but now the fridge part is getting too cold and freezing everything. Even with the dials set to the warmest, it's still to cold. I'll have to check the relay to see if that might be it like yours.
