I have a Blackberry and have 60 manuals on it, by downloading it to my computer and send it to my phone by Blackberry desktop. I can not look up parts as my parts distributor uses Microsoft Internet Explorer. I can look up part prices and availability if I have a part number. I use it for simple fault codes and such, other than that I use my laptop.

Are you able to track parts inventory on your ipad?

For example when you make a invoice that includes parts on your ipad does it remove the parts from your inventory?

I use custom scheduling software that is accessable via the ipad, so yes it tracks calls and inventory along with some basic accounting functions.

Brian, do you ever run into customers that don't have a email address to send the invoice to? What are you doing in them caes?

I have been using quick books on a windows pc, it's the only thing I use a windows pc for anymore. Im going to try quick books online as I can upload my current QB data base and start using it from my mac. There is also a free iPad app for it.

Still wondering if I can really get by without printing a invoice 100% of the time.

I have had many customers that say thats OK, I don't need a invoice....If there is no email or Don't want to give it to you....
