I looked at an exploded drawing but it doesn't really show the specific location.

Look on the rear cavity left of the compressor.

The problem with this freezer is that the door seems to be warped away from the freezer near the bottom and it pulls air in and then creates excessive frost on the coil and can't clear it during defrost. I was eliminating the defrost timer from the picture. I know when the timer is in defrost it turns on the heater. I marked the timer location so I could go back later and make sure it is advancing. This is in a social club in the kitchen. Apparently before I started working on it, someone had replaced the door gasket. This door gasket is held in place by screws that go the whole way around the door. The inside of the door is plastic and there are a few places like in the corners where the plastic is broken. Is it possible the screws aren't "torqued" right and could warp the door at the bottom?

What is the proper way to tighten screws to hold the gasket in place but not warp the door in the process?

In the past I have purchased flat rectangular washers to compensate for the cracked/broken plastic liner.
The washers have a single hole, they are about 3/8ths wide and 1 and 1/4 long.
Marcone Supply sold them.
JW might know a part # for them.

Whoever replaced the door gasket didn't adjust the door before tightening the screws.  Loosen all of the screws and retighten to barely snug. Adjust the door to parallel with the cabinet.  When it's right, tighten all the screws.

tgoods reply is best way I've found when they are out of alignment, for minor gaps around the gasket I gently apply heat form heat gun til gasket magnet pulls in (before careful not to keep heat in one place too long), for cracked or broken liners I always have a few liners supports in service van pt #95065-1 available from most wholesalers for around $2.60.

What I do is remove the door from the ice box. lay it on my lift and go around with a quarter inch screw driver and work the gasket back into place. Folks try to put the gasket on while it is still on the door. Seen the results first hand of that disaster.
