Samsung Washing Machine humming -why?

Hi There,

I have a washing machine that hums (like a transformer type of hum) while in standby. It works fine though (after 2 pump replacements in 8 years). Just wondering if it could be a faulty cap in the main wiring near a transformer in the machine? ... too much noise?

Probably a really dorky question I know ..... but nothing else I have as far as appliances hums

Does the appliance have a lighted panel?

It has an array of  LED lights for different cycles and levels etc! see attachment photos

Maybe all them fancy controls need a small PC type fan to keep em cool. LOL
