Gas dryer belt/drum/idler pulley reassemble help

Customer asked me to look at it, I tried... Now I have a couple questions

Problem was it runs but no heat... very dusty. I wanted to see if the glow plug glowed, but it doesn't appear to be access to that from the rear of the machine. I got the front of the machine off and the drum came out and the id *ler pulley  was laying in the bottom of the dryer after the drum came out. I need to see how the belt goes because I can't figure out how the idler pulley is positioned exactly because it fell out of it's spot when the drum came out.


Also, I found out after talking to a friend who works for an actual appliance repair co. that on some of them there is a plug on the front you can pop off to look at the glow plug... I think I remember seeing that....

Also he says the 110 for the glow plug comes from the timer.

I guess the only other thing to cause this would be the fuses and limits...

any insight would be helpful....

These dryers are very basic.
All L-1 power comes through the timer on 110 volt gas dryers.

Listen for the solenoid click when you start the dryer.  No click usually means a bad thermal fuse.  If you get a click look through the peep hole.  No glow usually means a bad ignitor.  If it glows but then goes out without lighting the gas, bad gas valve coils.

Other things can cause no heat too, like the timer, flame sensor, motor or limit thermostat.  The thermal fuse, gas coils or ignitor are far more common.

There are a lot of videos for installing belts like this .  When you get enough practice you don't even have to look. Just stick your head in the drum and install it by feel.
