Moisture Sensor / Automatic Dry cycle?
(1/1)
thewavgod:
This dryer has the automatic dry cycle, but it is not drying in this cycle, but does dry in a timed cycle. When I look for parts there is no "moisture sensor" listed for this dryer, which I thought would be the problem.
I have yet to open it up.
What does this dryer use for feedback in the "auto" cycle?
Thanks

Repair-man:
It relies on the temp thermistars and a hi-temp cutout, both of which are triggered by a vent restriction. Try pulling it out so you can unhook the vent and run a load without it. If a difference is noted, report back with your findings.
A good description of your vent setup at this point would be beneficial...how long, vertical or horizontal, etc...
