I have a 4-5 year old GE Electric Oven (
JTP20WF1WW GE® 30" Built-In Single Wall Oven) with issues. Over the last few weeks this problem has worsened to the point now where it happens every time the oven is used.
When the oven is put on bake, nothing super hot 375˚F, it heats up and then after 10-15 minutes it shuts off and flashes “Door Lock”. It then needs to cool down before it will turn on again, the fan stays on until cool. I have tried to reboot it by shutting off the power at the breaker with no luck. This also happens when I try to clean it with the addition of the F9 error code.
To date I have replaced:
- LIMIT SWITCH-UPPER(LOCK) & SWITCH LIMIT BIMETAL Sensors – thinking one of them went bad
- DOOR LOCK – thinking it was bad
- CONTROL PANEL ASM – thinking there was some sort of overheat issue with a pressure switch
I have also cleaned the fan and vent assemblies. The fan runs, I think correctly.
Short of replacing the Oven Control computer I am at a loss and extremely frustrated. I have searched the forum and find others with similar problems, but have not found any that have replaced the parts and the problem continues. Any help would be appreciated!
