Maytag Dryer won't start

This dryer only buzzes and the lights flash, we had a storm last night and I was told this sounds like the board is gone, which one , there are two. Also, it gives an error code of F16 which does not exist in the manual, thats why I was told to change the board but if thats the problem which one do I change? Thanks in advance for ANY Help or suggestions. Bob

It may have damaged both, lightning will do that.

The main board for your model dryer is part # W10111621


What other board are you talking about, this one, part # W10336133

The second one I listed, W10336133 is a user interface type board.

I would replace the W10111621 first as it's the main control board, but there is a chance that lightning could have damage them both.

This is a tough one to be 100% certain on.

If you purchase the parts through the links I listed above, there is a 365 day return policy so you should not be stuck with the parts if it don't fix it.

Please keep us updated as to how it goes.

Edited to add: I attached a copy of the tech sheet for this model dryer too. There is in fact no F16 error code listed.
