Maytag Neptune does not do final drain & spin.

The washer goes through wash & rinse cycles with no problem until it gets to final drain & spin. The washer fills & drains fine until it reaches 10 min. left on cycle. At that point it shuts off with full load of water in tub & no spin.  If I push spin button then start, machine will display 11 min. then pump out water, then display 10 min. then display goes blank door unlocks and sounds chime for all finished. What should I start looking for as the problem?

How much soap do yall use?

I would first check how much cold water is coming in... or remove the cold water hose and check them... May be plugged... this machine rinses in cold. the machine times out and not enough water is supplied this will only happen in the final rinse...

Make sure the door lock lites and the door locks ... you can also check the board for a burn resistor at R11...

Next I would check the out of balance switches. you will have to remove the door and front to get to them check them with a meter. if switches are open then you will need to check the motor control... let us know what you find.

As for how much soap I use,
I use Costco powder soap about 2/3 scoop per load & liquid fabric softener 1 dispenser full.

I have been using the machine for about 2 months with no problem.  I acquired the machine from one of my clients because they got a new washer.  It seems that they may have had same problem.  I have no information on how much soap they were using.

Also I have tried unplugging the power for a few min. with no change in operation.

Is the Costco soap HE soap?

I don't think it is HE soap.

The washer is now working!

I checked cold water – good flow, Out of balance switches – no opens,  Did onboard system diagnostics: at first spin test did not work. Machine control board & motor control board passed.  Then spin test worked.  There was diagnostic code 05 (continuous unbalanced circuit.). Could have been teenage stepson improper loading of machine.

After spin test worked I tried wash load & machine is working good! Have done about 6 loads with no problem.
I am now only using "HE" soap.
