Kenmore Washer will not drain

Just replaced the transmission assembly in my stacked washer/dryer unit. I never want to do that again. When I started it up it filled up and ran great but the washer did not drain and move on to the rinse or spin cycle. Any ideas?

Looked in the drain pump for objects lately? Pump plugged in with power?

I have checked the power supply and it is connected. I had the hoses off of the pump during the repair and did not notice anything abnormal, but this was the first time I have dug that deep into a washer. I can double check them. I do hear the timer clicking over to what should be the beginning of a drain and rinse but it just never happens. The timer also stops running at that point.

  Have you checked the lid lock/switch?

Yes. The lid lock switch seems to be working. The agitator stops when I open the lid.

  The lid lock switch works 2 ways. It stops the motor in agitation when the lid is lifted. It locks the lid while entering the spin cycle.

Since you just repaired it, check for any loose or disconnected wires to the pump or lid switch.

I went back and checked the plug that goes to the lid lock switch. I had put it back on incorrectly and it was only connected on one prong. Put it back on correctly and now I have a washer that is draining. Thanks a million for the help.
