Samsung refrigerator not cooling.

Hello fellow members, I have a Samsung side by side refrigerator model RS2577SL.  It stopped cooling recently. Lights and fans seem to be running fine. When I power it up it shows an error code #3. I measured across the compressor at the relay and it gets 115VAC when plugged in at this time the compressor sounds like it's running fine then after about 20 seconds the compressor shuts off. I am a copy machine service technician so I understand basic troubleshooting techniques but I don't have the tech manual code which translates what a start up error code #3 means. Can anybody help? That relay is probably shot.

By error #3 you have the lower right segment on the far right side 8 is lit?

if so this is a defrost error...
