LG Dryer Shuts Down

When starting my LG DLE0442WH dryer, it will dry one load normally.  When I put further loads in, it powers on, and then quits, with a distinct burning smell, after about 10 seconds.  The power stays on, but there are no error codes.  It will sometimes take 15 minutes off the drying time, and start again, but never fully dries the load.

We have cleaned and replaced the vents, so we know there is no blockage.  The burning smell seems to come from the top of the dryer, not within the dryer tub itself.

HELP!  Any answers or knowledge would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds very much like a motor problem to me.Set the dryer for no heat and with no laundry,run the dryer and see what happens.

Wonderful!  Cheaper to replace the dryer, or fix it?!
