Freezer evap motor replacement- rpms?

Had a call this afternoon, a freezer evap motor not working. All I had on my truck was one of those universal evap motors and it worked fine, however it runs at 3000 rpms. I also used one of the fan blades that came with the motor, it had 5 blades instead of 4 like the original. rotation was the same and everything works for now.

Do the oem motors run at near the same rpms?

I told the customer I would have to check to see if my repair would be temporary or permanent.

It goes by the poles on the stator. The EM249 and EM999 you have 2 poles so 3000 rpm. As you may know you can also reverse the motor by turning the stator around. Whichever side the copper is on the blade will go in the opposite direction like the Marrs 90999.

The thickness of the steel plates of the motor determine amperage and speed.
The plates are referred to as stacks.
The stacks are usually 1/2 inch,5/8,3/4 etc.
If the stack is close to the original motor it will be fine.

Everything is working fine on the freezer, I went back today to follow up....
