Whirlpool Duet Washer

Whirlpool WFW9400SW00 washer. Was having trouble with F70/F71 codes. Now all I get is a single beep when I push the power button, nothing else no lights come on at all. Any suggestions on what I do next?

  F70/F71 error codes have to do with the user interface (control panel) not properly communicating with the main control unit. Check all wire connections, unplug and replug. Unplug the washer first. There should be a tech sheet taped to the inside of the cabinet for reference. Should be screws holding the bottom panel on and 2 screw behind the top panel

i had a washer like that today. I replaced the door latch and nothing. than I removed the connecor with the 2 blue wires attached to it on the bottome mcu unit, than pressed start and it functioned better atleast it turned on, so i am going to order a mcu and hope for the best.

I know techs which I have done too replaced all interface main control and mcu and they stilldo not work...........theres a rumer when that happens you have to replace the wire harness,  whatever I give up after replacing the boards...bad bad design of a washer....

I have found some that have the connectors on the end of the wire harness bent over, only making contact with the edge of the board and not the surface.  I have used a good set of dental picks to bend the metal inside the connector back where it should be and work.  Little tedious but better and faster than replacing an expensive wire harness.

which connectors were bad the ones on the mcu?? or main control?   tks  I will give it a try, first got to find a  pic of sorts....  jpg

Just the small one that feeds power to the user interface is the one I've mainly run into...
