Frigidaire Top Load Agitation Issue

My knowledge of Frigidaire Washers is very little.  This machine (FWS933FS0) was a trade that I got and replaced with a Kenmore.  It will fill, drain and spin.  When it starts to agitate, the agitator moves back and forth very slowly and not at full stroke, the tub does not index.  Is this something that is easy to repair or should I just part it out?

Turn the drive pulley clockwise.
If the unit does not agitate the transmission bearing has failed.
If you turn it counter-clockwise and the tub does not lock in to turn the transmission lock spring has failed.

The shaft rotates as needed clockwise.  I have a theory.  Could the inside of the agitator be worn?  Is the tub supposed to index with the agitator off?  If the agitator causes the tub to index, then it is probably the agitator.  Anyone have that problem?
