front burners not getting hot
« on: February 26, 2011, 09:11:19 AM »
Model: JBP66BY2WH - The front 2 burners are not getting hot enough anymore
I didn't find a service manual on this one. what can I test to see if the Burners are bad or would the Infinite Switches wear out?

Thank You!!!!!

It could either be a element or the switch. This video of a Frigidaire stove gives you a general idea how to check:

If the front burners get hot at all then I would say the burners are fine. The burner are nothing more then a heating element and they are either going to be good and heat or be bad and not heat at all.

Unless you have a problem with a bad connection someplace I would lean towards replacing the switches for them two burners.
