I even keep a piece of alumnim around so i can use the same pattern & make a longer probe in case the short one is not long enough.

Nice tip, were do you buy the aluminum that you make the longer probes from?

I have been using a simple coat hanger for years  just unclog drain and c how far u can put coat hanger down hole than cut and wrap around your heat element. The element will heat coat hanger and act as a heat sink......  jpg

Maytag washer ground wire works great! Too bad they quit using it 10-15 years ago.

my newest on is the copper wire out of a bad Magnetron solid copper and coiled. also used cap tube off thermostats.

do you have a tip section..

the other day I used the magnetic strip out of a refrigerator door gasket. On a whirlpool DDrive put the strip between the cabinet bottom and the base, too stop it from rattling.

No 'tip' section at this time, but feel free to start a new topic in the correct board to post any tips you would like to share with the rest of us.

The magnetic strip idea is a good one too. I remember some time back they use to have a kit for that. From what I remember is was just a couple metal shims you taped in place.

I like the magnetic strips idea a lot better.

Yep,
 I call the WP tech the other day to get one of the "kit" for a cabinet that had the shakes.
I think they where call anti-vibration or anti-rattle or anti-shake... the tech line guy had no idea what I was talking about... so I had to use the door gasket magnets ... it work very well.
