Frigidaire/Electrolux french door ice makers flextray

New flextray ice maker for all Frigidaire/Electrolux french door what was old is new like Sears Kenmore refrigerators in the 1970's,

this ice maker will cycle every 90 minutes and makes pyramid shape ice. it has its own evaporator and cold box in the fresh food box...

I wonder if this flextray also does the defrost like the old flextray did.

No defrtost on the flex tray it has a thermister on the bottom of the tray.. a lot like F&P, LG , samsung

Just bought a scratch and dent Elextrolux FD/CD and am worried about the ice maker.  Is this felxtray what is in the new models?  Mine was made in October of 2010.  Can they retrofit my fridge with this new ice tray or is that not necessary if I get the board upgrades and related fixes listed in other posts?
