2 things that I do a little differently that makes the job a bit faster.  Most of the time I do not remove the wires on the door switch, I simply rotate the entire front panel 180 degree's and lean it against the side of the dryer, or up against the washer.   The other thing which saves the most time compared to this video, is when removing the old heating coil, I take my Diagonal cutters and snip the coil at each insulator pin.  This makes for simple removal of the coil in half the time.

I just put in a 303404 whole unit and I am done. I see a lot of broken insulators as well.

The 303404 is better for the beginners who frequent this forum.  Well worth the extra $30.  I like how little space the Y313538 takes up in my truck and it only takes me 10 minutes to install.
I know the Y313538 is supposed to be prestretched but I find them a little too tight, so I stretch them just a little bit more.

Use to restring them for 10+ years then just wasn't worth the trouble. Installed and move on. Also seemed the restring would not last as long as a whole unit.

never restring anymore, quicker to slap whole unit in, if u don't get perfect spacing u have trouble down the road
