Kenmore Washer makes loud scrapping sound in spin cycle

Purchased this unit in 06.  It recently started making a loud scraping sound during the spin cycle.  It also gets some sort of grease like stain on the clothes.  

The stain started first.  As it turns out, the right HE detergent was not being used in the machine.  I used a special cleaning solution in the unit and that cleared the stain for a week or so.  Then the stain came back and the sound started.

Can't say that it looked like that.  The stains were spotty, small and impossible to get out.  They usually discolored the garment.
