fridgidaire dryer blower fan not running

Frigidaire FSE747GES1 Dryer - There is no air blowing out the exhaust vent. The drum turns and the heating element heats. I suspect the blower fan is not turning. How do i get to it to check for voltage to the motor? Does it have a fuse?

Pete the motor is double shafted. The blower is mounted on one end and the other end has a pulley that drives the drum. Take the top off an unplug the controls get the front off and remove the drum. Inspect the blower for blockages. Video:

Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah, I already figured out that the motor does double duty. Looks like it's a clogged vent. I think I might have that rear bearing going out as well as it has been kinda squeaky. will check it when i have it out.

Take some pictures of your repair. Might be fun.

If your rear bearing is bad... Then so is the top felt is wore ... Reach inside and lift up on the drum if it move up more then 1/4 it is wore out...  check the bottom if there is a gap then you need to change the top felt... this will keep buttons and zipper from getting caught and ripped off...

well, that was easy enough. the fan spun off it's shaft. there is no slop in the drum bearing.

the fan retaining nut is gone. i suspect it may have been so for quite some time as i could not find it in the exhaust vent or on the floor behind the dryer.

i can buy a new nut from sears for 3 bucks or probably from the hardware store for 50 cents. can someone tell me the size of it? looks like it might be 1/4-20 or a bit larger.
