Downdraft on a range hood

I'm thinking the wires are backwars, causing the motor to run in reverse, what do y'all think?

The customer gave me a weird description
I think it's built in to the Kitchen Aid range.
I'll go tomorrow and check it out, she said that the baffles weren't opening or something like that

motor cant be wired backwards unless its a d.c. motor
some one put in wrong or damper outside jammed shut causing possitive air pressure

Well apparently she's also getting no power to her dishwasher so maybe something is wrong with the kitchen circuitry

I think what she has is a downdraft vent that's not opening. Maybe it's jammed or gummed up with grease?

It's the down draft blower fan on a Thermador gas countertop stove. The tower that raises up isn't raising up or turning on. And I could only get to the blower cabinet from under the counter, all the wiring is behind a sheet medal panel behind the blower housing. I'd have to take apart the whole thing just to trouble shoot it. Oh, and of course there's no tech sheet. This chump is stumped!
