Prodigy dryer makes metal scraping noise after one load

Is this the rear bearing?  If so what is the repair.

A scrape is a front drum pad. That plastic piece goes and she scrubs.
The rear drum bearing would give you a squeak.

The repair is simple. You have the option to buy complete pair of them glide for 30 bucks or you can get a slide replacement kit for 5 bucks.

I replaced the glides.  I am sure it is a squeek but rather loud and anoying.

The back side of that drum rides on a center bearing. The bearing has a plastic sleeve. Over time that sleeve gets thin and begins to allow metal to metal. The rubbing will continue until the bracket gets eat into to the point the drum will actually rub the heating element. I have always wondered how people could stand to listen to that noise.

Okay, I carry that one on my truck.  I assumed there was a kit with glides and felt and rivets kind of like the Maytag kit.

Replaced the plastic sleeve on the rear bearing post.  No more noise.
