Frigidaire Dual Fuel Range - oven control out

I just tried to replace an oven bulb on my Frigidaire GLCS389EQA dual-fuel range. When unscrewing the bulb, it seperated from the base, and shorted out. Now the oven control is dead. I cannot find any in-line fuses or that sort of thing.  Is my oven control shot????

Steve, sounds like you might have "shorted " the board. Check power source first, like MajApp says.

Next remove the "board" look it over under a light with your glasses on. You  might be able to find the short and resolder a burned connection . Other wise its probably going to cost you a new board.

Another possible board fix, would be to contact ..fixyourboard.com see what they can do for you...if it is a bad board.

Thanks for the info. I think it's shot.  First time I ruined anything by unscrewing a "COOL" light bulb. The a quote from the use and care guide was pretty silly after the fact. And since light bulbs are all cheaply made in China these days maybe you should scold the manufacturer for a poor design rather than me. A $1800 range should have a prominent label for this considering the damage it can cause.

Standard practice in our industry is to dis-connect power to any device before accessing any electrical part.
We then re-apply power for test purposes.
