I replaced my LG Model DLG0452W Dryer's motor with the one in the link below:
http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/4681EL1008AThe issue for the old motor is that it seemed to not generate enough torque to start the drum turning when under a load. If I lifted the lid and turned the drum, that was enough help to get things going. Replacing it solved the problem
The question I have now is do I have a broken motor sitting here that may be worth something or just throw it out in the recycle bin for trash day? What broke on it is the little plastic collar on the axle towards the rear of the motor. The two pot metal pieces that go around the axle and are held together by springs then flew off into the bottom of the dryer. I'm not sure what purpose they originally served. You can see one of the things in the picture, though.
