Would love to replace my old 79 series fluke as it is not true RMS as I could afford one that that was. I enjoy repairing consumer electronics especially when I can help out the eldery. Thanks

Over the past 6 months I have had to repair my refrigerator and dishwasher and now must repair a laptop, convection oven and microwave convection oven as well as wire new lights and outlets in multiple rooms of my house. This tool would come in quite handy for all these projects.

Although I didn't like the rectal probe the aliens used on me when I was abducted form the banks of the Chattahoochie while night fishin' fer big cats 3 years ago, we did find out we had sumthin' in common when I awoke to see they were takin' their recto-cerebro impedance data and usin' a Fluke to measure it! When I said "Oh, man, you fellas use a Fluke too!", they told me, (well they really didn't tell me...it was kinda like thought transfer stuff) "Of course, they are the finest instruments in the universe". They also let me know that of everone they'd ever checked, I had the lowest fraction of an ohm between my brain and rectum...

We will give this meter a very nice home, and he will have several inferior friends to play with.
He will tell them that it is OK to have frayed leads, and that they should be the ones to touch the high voltage and high current because it will be a good experience for them.  He will be able to tell them to calibrate to his reading when they are wrong, or that they should get a new battery.

I want this multimeter because I've never owned a fluke brand product and I want to see if the hype about Fluke Multimeters is true or if it's just hype. Only multimeter I own is either from Extech or Ideal and they're only good for one decimal place.

Why?  O0
Because it's awesome!

Seriously, though, my daughter bought her first beater, a 1997 Civic with 200,000 miles and the power locks don't work. This would be a great tool to help figure out what's wrong!

Fluke bought up the BioMed division of the company I work for.  So (almost) all my friends packed up and moved from Vermont to Carson City NV.  Including the Executive VP - he left me his rubber tree plant.

I'm feeling the need for an accurate multimeter, especially a yellow one.  I have two cheap red Chinese multimeters - both report DCV about 20% high.  No big deal as long as you know that's the case...
