Whirlpool Dishwasher no water

Hello, I have a Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partent III Dishwasher (model number GU2548XTPQ7). At the start of the cycle there is a hum and when I open the door there is no water in the bottom of the washer. If I restart the cycle it usually fills like it should.  I've also opened the door with 44 minutes left in the cycle and found no water in the bottom. Lately I've noticed that the sanitized light is blinking at the end of washing. Could this be a water valve or something else?  Thanks for your time, Jayson

first I would check the float switch.

make sure it is not stuck in the up position...

if the light is blinking count how many times.

Thanks for the reply.  I will check the float switch and the light seems to blink continuously.  There is no specific pattern.
