Kenmore clothes washer spins but clothes too wet

My washer spins and the clothes are up against the sides of the tub but they are still very wet when the cycle completes. I'll manually send it through another spin cycle but the clothes never seem to release as much water as they should. Any suggestions?

That might be the clutch OR maybe a tranny seal leak. Click on pic below to enlarge.
If you have markings on the case like this then a simple tranny cover seal is all you need. You can clean the clutch with brake cleaner if it is loaded with oil from the leak. OR it could be an item between tubs, or something in the pump. Sand gets in the pump and causes it to overheat during neutral pump out.
