Kenmore refrigerator water valve replacement

I noticed a wet spot in the basement last night. Water was dripping from the water line to the ice maker in the refrigerator upstairs.   I turned the water off, and let it ride until this morning.

Pulled the unit out this morning and took the cover off. everything was dry, so I turned the water back on, and the water valve is leaking, not from the lines. So I'm pretty sure I need a water valve.

My question is, how do I remove the lines from the valve? They look as if they just push in, like some sort of quick connect.

I just want to know before attempting to remove them, so's not to do any more damage to this piece of Sears than I have to.

Push in on the ring around the tubing and pull the tubing out.
