Bosch Nexxt 500 Series Washer.

The steel ring/spring came off our boot.  The boot seems to be remaining in place so far.  Can someone give me the procedure to re-install the ring?  This happened before, and a technician put it back on w/o tools, so I'm sure it's not too hard to do.

One of many methods, I'm sure.  Spring at bottom center, I use a plastic clamp they sell for wood clamping, clamp it in place and run the band as far around the gasket as possible, then take a pair of needle nose pliers and stretch the spring so you can fit the rest of the steel loop in the groove on the gasket.  I've done it without the clamp by using my knee to hold the bottom in place, but it took 3 or 4 tries.  I'm sure you'll get other responses too. :)

Thanks.  I got it back on.  Used a slightly different technique, but I didn't need a third hand.  I put the spring at the bottom, but took a small screwdriver and put it through the eyelet of the metal ring (left eyelet so I could expand the spring to the right) and held the screwdriver with my left hand, knee against the spring holding it in place.  Pulled the metal ring with my right hand so the spring expanded and placed it in the groove and ran my right index finger around the boot/ring while keeping the spring expanded with my left hand.  Ran it around to the until it was fully in the groove everywhere.  Kind of had to roll it in place at the last section, kind of like putting the bead back onto a bike tire rim (but this was a little more difficult).  Took a couple of attempts, but I finally got it.  Thanks.
