kitchenaid clothes washer
« on: November 26, 2013, 05:10:56 PM »
I have a Kitchenaid washer model # KAWS700JQ0, when it goes into the spin cycle, the drum wont spin until I lift the lid and put it back down. The motor turns, the water drains, and the washer agitates, all automatically, just like it's supposed to. It just wont spin without lifting the lid.

Timer is not pausing to let trans engage in spin, so Shen you lift the lid it stops & lets it engage

All the new washers are water savers and are junk.No more filling water to the top and wash cloths.Do some research. You may change your mind.Thats a good washer you have.

You are waiting for it to finish draining right? After agitation stops, it should drain for about 2 full minutes, then the motor should pause for a few seconds and then start again at which point it should start spinning. If there is no pause, the timer is defective.

dab147315 is right. New washers are all we are working on & they are junk. That's a good machine you've got.

hope you read fairbanks56 post. I've been on service calls that the customer just didn't wait long enough and thought it should spin right away
