Dishwasher- Ultra Wash

I have a very noisy dishwasher that a motor appears is having an issue.  It sometimes does not complete a cycle because you can hear a motor barely turning but not completing the revolution and attempts it again.  

When searching for parts on line it appears that there are two possible motor assemblies that could be making such a sound.  One is called circulation pump and motor assembly and the other is just the circulation pump.  The whole assembly is part number 8268407 per the manual.

What type of testing should I do to determine which part is failing?  Should just install a new dishwasher instead for the price of the part?   Could another part be the reason for the noisy sounds and failure?Any suggestions?

It also appears that something has sprung a leak within the dishwasher as well.  I will assume that with this many people viewing this post and no response that replacement is my best option.

I will start the process of looking for another dishwasher.

A W10239404 motor will work at a better price.

If this is the most common reason for the issues that I described then I will replace it with the original part.  The dishwasher worked well up to the point of this failure and part price is cheaper then a new dishwasher. 

I just wanted to make sure that this is most likely the part that has failed or what additional testing to better determine what has failed.
