I had a customer today with some frost build up in his freezer. My first guess was that there was air getting into the box somehow. After checking it out, I found that the freezer door seemed to be sticking out a little at the top, in the middle (its a SBS) where it meets the fridge side.
there is not a door adjustment for the freezer side on this model as far as I can tell.
Anyway, I know when you put a new gasket on that you have to warm it to make it right. His gasket didnt look so bad, so I took my heat gun and warmed the entire freezer gasket and pulled it, stretched it, fondled it, and did other quite enjoyable things to it.
Once I was done playing with the HOT door gasket, I closed the freezer and it sealed like never before.
I hope it lasts.
Anyone ever tried this? will it last a while? the gaskets for this fridge are $130 each list. Its a friend of mines fridge so I don't want him to have to pay em huge amounts.
Anyone in Houston want to do Jaegermeister shots at almost 4am?
