Frigidaire FRS26LF7DS7 Refrigerator - Has anyone encounter the water filter leaking. I had just replace it, and it leaking. Is this common. Is their simple fix this issue?

Thanks

My mom has the exact ice box. I have put 2 of them filters in so far over about a 5 year period. No leaks here.

Were exactly is it leaking from?

If it's leaking from the filter housing there is nothing you can do other then replace the filter again.

Hope you find our site helpful.

I know not from the filter itself. I would guessing here, but where the filter plug into. I going to remove the cover around where the filter plug into to see better where the water is coming from tomorrow.

From what I can tell it is the receiving end of the filter. where to main come in and out are dry. I guessing wear on the mating surface of receiver of filter is bad. I would try replacing the filter, but I just replace it about month ago. Beside replacing the receiver unit is to try different  O rings maybe bit larger. Plus I have another filter in front of it. Basically I have double filter system.

Maybe they sold you a BoBo water filter. I would ask about that.

I bought the filter base, but I can not get the hoses out. I pop back the little blue ring, still will not come out. One ring I broke. Any suggestions?

Never mind, I ended up using demel tool to cut the end of the base. Then I got the hoses out. Of after all that, it still leaks. Tomorrow go buy another water filter.

I replace the receiving filter base again, and look like the filter not leaking, but where the hoses go in to the base is dripping now.

Is their any work around for this beside replacing the hoses going to the base?

Thanks !!
