Kenmore 80 series Fills with water but nothing else happens!

Washer fills and fills and fills with water but never goes to next setting. When I turn it to the next setting.....nothing happens!

Once your water level switch is satisfied by the set water level,the machine should start agitation.
If the water stops filling and does not agitate,either the lid switch is bad or the timer is bad or the motor is bad.
If the water continues to fill and overflows either the water level switch is bad or the water valve is bad.

Your drain hose needs to be at least 30 inches above the floor
