Kenmore front load washer

Having problems with this Kenmore washer model no.417.40042990.It won't do nothing.When you set the timer to the wash cycle and pull the knob,nothing,no filling with water,no activity other than door lock light is on,but the door is not locked.I have moved the timer around to spin and nothing happens.Can you guys help to troubleshoot this thing?

I'm not sure because i did not look up the model. but check  to see it it takes a mgnet in despencer drawer. if the mag fell out it wont do anything
